what is the meaning of the question "how are the classes at that school"
does it mean like are classes easy or hard in that school. what sort of answer are they looking for? Thank you!

Depending on who is asking and when they are asking, it may be the quality of the classes or the types or variety of classes offered, even when they are offered.

what grade did you get in them?
were the people nice, how was the social aspect.
how were/are the class sizes?
how were/are the teachers
talk about the physical classroom is it old or new?
