If the height is h, then the time it takes to fall is
4.9t^2 = h
In that time, it travels 8/3 h, so its horizontal velicity is
(8/3 h)/t = 8h/3 √(4.9/h) = 8/3 √(4.9h)
Its vertical velocity is -9.8t = -9.8 √(h/4.9)
now finish it off
