Could someone explain how to do the 1449/6 long division?

this web site doesn't do text formatting very well, but there are lots of online places that show how to do long division.
Division is basically a guessing game using subtraction.
14 > 6*2 and 14 < 6*3
so, start off with 6*200 = 1200
1449-1200 = 249
24 = 6*4, so now use 6*40 = 240
249 - 240 = 9
6*1 < 9, but 6*2 > 9, so
9 - 6 = 3
3 < 6 so you are done. List the multipliers used, to form the dividend
