What is the initial starting value of the function represented by the equation x + 2y = 12?

the graph is a line. It has no "initial value."
But, if you want the value of y when x=0, just plug in x=0!
0 + 2y = 12
y = 6
But, if you want the value of y when x=0, just plug in x=0!
