Thirty men were employed to finish a given piece of work in 18 days. however 6 of them failed to turn up. hox much longer did it take thd remaining men to compleate the work.

1/5 were absent, so only 5/6 were available.
5/6 the men, so 6/5 the time = 21.6 days, or 3.6 days longer.
