Describe the major territorial advances made by the United States in the 19th Century.

I'm not sure if this answers your question but Hawaii became a state in the 19th century. Also in the 19th century, the US helped cuba get their independence from spain and built a naval base there called Guantanamo bay. I don't know if that will help you or not.

Nope. Hawaii and Alaska became states in the 20th century.
