A writer of a persuasive text should address conflicting viewpoints and evidence by, first trying to either back up their own evidence and make sure it is correct. Another thing they should do is be prepared, try to find flaws in their own evidence so they can expect the opposing viewpoints to hit on that flaw. You also should research other viewpoints and try to find flaws in their evidence to make your argument stronger. Most importantly you should be prepared, do full-on research so you can answer almost any question another person has to contradict you.
