time = distance / rate
8 km / v = 9 km / (v + 2)
multiplying by [v ( + 2)] ... 8 v + 16 = 9 v
speeds are ... 16 kph and 18 kph
convert to m/s ... multiply by 1000 m/km and divide by 3600 s/hr
