let the unit digit be x
let the tens digit by y
x = 2y+1
so the original number is 10y + x
and the number reversed would by 10x + y
so 10x+y - (10y+x) = 36
9x - 9y = 36
x - y = 4
(2y+1) - y = 4
y = 3 , then x = 7
the original number was 37
let the tens digit by y
x = 2y+1
so the original number is 10y + x
and the number reversed would by 10x + y
so 10x+y - (10y+x) = 36
9x - 9y = 36
x - y = 4
(2y+1) - y = 4
y = 3 , then x = 7
the original number was 37
