If Mrs W put one gallon in her tank, she could only go 14.4 miles
but
If Mr W put one gallon in his tank he could go 15 miles.
Mr W wins as you pointed out.

Stephen read a 90-page book in 6 days. If he continues reading at that rate, how long will it take him to read a 300-page book?
90 ÷ 6 = 15 pages a day
300 ÷ 15 = 20 days
It will take Stephen 20 days to read a 300-page book if he continues reading at the same rate, 15 pages a day.
90 ÷ 6 = 15 pages a day
300 ÷ 15 = 20 days

That is not another problem. It is the same problem with different nouns and numbers
90 pages/6 days = 15 pages /1 day or 1 day/15 pages
300 pages * 1 day/ 15 pages = 20 days
90 pages/6 days = 15 pages /1 day or 1 day/15 pages
300 pages * 1 day/ 15 pages = 20 days
