So there are 4 circles inside. Do they all touch the sides of the square?
If so, then the radius of each circle is 12/4 = 3
That makes the area of the circles 4*π*3^2 = 36π
Subtract that from the area of the square, which is 12^2 = 144
Use 3 for pi? Outrageous!
