Under a dilation, triangle A(0,0), B(0,3), C(5,0) becomes triangle A′B′C′. The scale factor for this dilation is 3.
What is the length of A′B′, in inches?
12? I have looked at khan academy videos and still don't understand it. Please help me!

The distance from A to B is three
expand that (scale up or dilate it) by a factor of 3
3 * 3 = 9 not 12
sorry, disagree with your answer sheet.
