How do I solve 372 = -3x - 6(8x + 6)? I already know x = -8, I just need to know the process of how to get it.

372 = -3x - 6(8x + 6)
372 = -3x - 48x - 36 <----- distributive property
372 = -51x - 36
51x = -36 - 372 , I added 51x and subtracted 372 from both sides
51x = -408
x = -8 <---- I divided both sides by 51
