not sure what

travelled at 50m/s from rest

is supposed to mean. Did it start at 50 m/s? "At rest" means zero speed, right?

s = vt + 1/2 at^2
If it started at 50 m/s, and covered a distance of 10000m in 2400 seconds, then solve for a in
50*40 + 1/2 a * 40^2 = 10000
