{[log(5.2E5 / 6.5E4)] / [log(2)]} * 3 d

the fraction left after t days is (1/2)^(t/3)
So, solve for t in
(1/2)^(t/3) = (6.5 * 10^4)/(5.2 * 10^5) = 0.125 = (1/2)^3
so, t/3 = 3
t = 9 days, or 3 half-lives
So, solve for t in
(1/2)^(t/3) = (6.5 * 10^4)/(5.2 * 10^5) = 0.125 = (1/2)^3
so, t/3 = 3
t = 9 days, or 3 half-lives

5.2/.65 = 8
1/8 left
(1/2)(1/2)(1/2) =1/8
three days :)
1/8 left
(1/2)(1/2)(1/2) =1/8
three days :)
