Can someone solve the questions below?I have no idea how to do them.
Only two questions btw...
1.A rectangle has a sides of length (2 + √8)cm and (7 - √2)cm.
Find the area of the rectangle.
Express your answer in the form a + b √2 ,where a and b are integers.
2.A cuboid has a square base.
The sides of the square are of length (1 + √2)cm.
The height of the cuboid is (5 - √2)cm.
Find the volume of the cuboid.
Express your answer in the form a + b √2 ,where a and b are integers.

(2+√8)(7-√2) = 2*7 + 7√8 - 2√2 -√8*√2
= 14 + 7*2√2 - 2√2 - √16
= 14 +12√2 - 4
= 10 + 12 √2
Now you do the other one, like this one but two steps
= 14 + 7*2√2 - 2√2 - √16
= 14 +12√2 - 4
= 10 + 12 √2
