How long it took to go 100 meters? If a football player is running downfield at an angle of 85 degrees and at 8 m/s. The field is 100 meters long.
So I found the downfield (vertical) vector component which is 7.69 m/s because 8 sin 85 degrees, but need to know how to proceed from there?

Well I do not see your diagram so assume you are right about the 8 * sin 85 but I get 7.97 m/s.
distance = speed * time
100 = 7.97 t
t = 100/7.97 = 12.5 seconds

t = 100/7.97 = 12.5 seconds
