How does dividing mixed numbers compare with dividing fractions

Each mixed number should be converted to a fraction:
(5 1/2)/(2 1/4) = (11/2)/(9/4) = 11/2 * 4/9 = 44/18 = 2 8/18 = 2 4/9.
