Asked by Hayden Statz

h(x) = 3(2)^x, Section A is from x = 1 to x = 2 and Section B is from x = 3 to x = 4.

Part 1: Find the average rate of change of each section.

Part 2: How many times greater is the average rate of change of Section B than Section A? Explain why one rate of change is greater than the other.

Thank you for the help!

#1 avg rate of change is the slope of the line joining the points at the ends of the interval: ∆y/∆x

#2 figure the two rates and divide.
