The energy required to remove an electron from a H atom is
E = 2.180 x 1o^-18[(1/n1^2)-(1/n2^2)] in joules.
For He^+, there is a Z^2 factor added to the 2.180 x 10^-18 and Z^2 is the atomic mass of 2. So that part of the equation becomes 2.180 x 10^-18*4*[......].
