I have a question on my math homework. The question is "half the perimeter of a garden is 18 feet. The garden is 8 feet longer than it is wide. How wide is the garden." How do i figure this put. urgent

Width = = W ft,
Length = (W+8)ft,

2W + 2(W+8) = 2*18,
4W + 16 = 36,
W = 5 Ft.
