Find x (the longer leg of the right triangle). the shorter leg is 18 m and the tip is at 34 degrees

If x is opposite the angle, then
x/18 = tan34°

If x is adjacent to the angle, then
18/x = tan34°

Tan56 = X/18.
X = 18*Tan56 = 26.7 m.
