Multiply the number of hours by the pay per hour.

Subtract that product from his total pay for the week.

1. Multiply the number of hours by the pay per hour.

2. Subtract that product from his total pay for the week.

I can't come up with $119.56, which is the answer.

What was his total pay including overtime?
Answered by oobleck
assuming a 40-hour work week, he worked 6.25 hours of overtime
assuming time-and-a-half for overtime, his wage is 12.75 * 1.5 = 19.125
So, his overtime pay is 6.25 * 19.125 = 119.53
Not sure how they rounded that up to 119.56 ...

I think the question is wrong because I got the same question in my activity and I'm trying to find what the answer is.

This is the original question,
"Bill Granger is a parts clerk. He worked a total of 46.25 hours from Monday to Friday this week. If his
regular pay is $₱212.75 per hour, how much overtime pay did Bill earn?"

Now, why is the answer $119.56? And is it correct?
