1. which graph represents the equation y = x^2 - 2?
2. which graph represents the equation y = 6x^2?
3. which graph represents the equation y = |x|+2?

graph I is a wide V-shape going through quadrants I and II. graph II is a slim U-type shape going through the same quadrants. graph III is an upside down U going through quadrants III and IV. graph IV is a straight line going through quadrants III and II.
