F = ma
no force, no acceleration (change in speed)
m = distance
m/s = velocity
v/s^2 = acceleration
These are pretty basic stuff. Hope you're studying, or you won't get far.

on the first, Newton's First Law of motion applies. Look that up, you should have memorized all three laws.
