how can you be "completely" clueless? Surely examples just like this one were worked out for you.
This relies on the fact that multiplication is commutative -- you can switch things around as you will.
(3cd^4)(-2c^2)(5cd^3)
= 3 c d^4 * -2 c^2 * 5 c d^3
= (3 * -2 * 5) * (c * c^2 * c) * (d^4 * d^3)
= -30 c^4 d^7
