We have 30 pump-hours needed to pump 40000 L
so x/30 = 60000/40000 , where x is the number of pump-hours
x = 45
pump-hours = 45
if pumps = 9
hours = 5
so x/30 = 60000/40000 , where x is the number of pump-hours
x = 45
pump-hours = 45
if pumps = 9
hours = 5

Henry2,
10 Pumps: Rate = 40,000L/3h = 13,333.3 L/h.
9 Pumps: Rate = 9/10 * 13,333.3 = 12,000 L/h.
T = 60,000/12000 = 5 Hours.
9 Pumps: Rate = 9/10 * 13,333.3 = 12,000 L/h.
T = 60,000/12000 = 5 Hours.
