A trough contains a certain amount of sand. After Jamie used it to fill a 2.4-kilogram bag, a 650-gram bowl, and a 3-kilogram,125-gram pail, she realized that she had a kilogram of sand left in the trough. How much sand was in the trough at first? Give your answer in grams, using a comma. How many grams of sand in the trough at first?

    Remember? 1 kilogram = 1,000 grams (kilo = 1,000)

    1,000g + 2,400g + 650g + 3,125g = 7,175g
7,175g - 1,000g = 6,175g

7,175g - 1,000g = 6,175g
