Hi I’m having a lot of trouble with algebra
1) write an algebraic expression to represent the sum of five times a number and 17 1:5x+17 2: 5x-17 3: 5(x+17) 4: 5+17x

5 times the number: 5x
"sum" means addition, so "sum of a and b" means a+b.
the sum of 5x and 17: 5x+17
