Na = 23 g/mol
Cl = 35.5 g/mol
so
NaCl = 58.5 g/mol
so we have
5.85/58.5 = 0.1 mols of NaCl in 0.25 liters
so we would have 0.1 * 4 = 0.4 mols in 1.00 liter
