In speech class,you lose 3 points for every 30 seconds you go over the time limit. Your speech is 90 seconds over the time limit. What integer represents the change in your points?

90 is 3 x 30
Each 30 seconds costs you 3 points.
So, you lose 3x3 = 9 points

It's a bit confusing with all those 3's floating around.
