if y = 2 t - 2
then t = (y+2)/2
use that
x = 5 - 4 [ (y+2)/2)^2 ]
x = 5 - 4 [ (y^2 + 4 y + 4)/4]
x = 5 - y^2 - 4 y - 4
x = - y^2 - 4 y +1
-y^2 - 4 y = x-1
y^2 + 4 y = 1-x
