Question
I'm writing a research paper on Islamic mosques and it has to include
- Facts on the art form, including a historical description of how the art form grew.
- A detailed description of the art form itself
- The purpose or use of the art form
- The unique features or design styles that set the form apart
- Where a good example of this art form exists today
- Why this art form interests you
I need help coming up with a hook for this essay and a thesis and outline.
It doesn't have to be a full outline I just need some help getting started

Have you researched the subject and taken notes?

I have but I can't find anything interesting to write the hook.

If you have done research and taken notes, you should have reached a conclusion of some kind, especially regarding the last of the six elements that must be included. That idea of yours can be the basis of your thesis statement.
Ms. Sue
I can't help you write the hook without reading the rest of the paper.
Write the body of the paper before you write the introduction and the conclusion.

I am trying to come up with that as well. I think it would be easier if I wrote my body paragraphs first and then created a thesis. What do you think?

To me, the most significant part of Islamic art is the prohibition on using the human figure. Why?
huncho jack
To not diminish God's power.
Ms. Sue
You're going to have to explain that. To someone who is not Muslim, it doesn't make much sense.
