a 10ft ladder is resting against the wall. the ladder touches the ground 6ft away from the wall. what angle, rounded to the nearest tenth, id the bottom of the ladder making with the ground

The correct answer is 53.1 degrees
Can someone explain how to get this?

You have a right triangle
cos A = adjacent/hypotenuse
and 53.1 is correct
