Are Irish Americans considered a subordinate group in American History?
I need to do a paper on a subordinate group and I was thinking of using Irish Americans.

Yes. Irish Americans were considered a subordinate group. In the middle of the 19th century, when many Irish emigrated to America, they were near the bottom of the social heap. Many help wanted signs added "No Irish need apply!"
