Write equations for the total number sold and the total sales dollars. This will let you solve for the two unknown amounts sold, W and Y.
W + Y = 35
9.95 W + 12.50 Y = 389.05
Substitute 35-Y for W in the second equation and solve for Y.
9.95 (35 - Y) + 12.50 Y = 389.05
2.55 Y = 389.05 - 348.25 = 40.80
Y = ?
