A line has the equation x = my + b for some real nonzero constants m and b.

a. In terms of m and/or b, what is the x-intercept of this line?

b. In terms of m and/pr b, what is the slope of this line?

I have no idea how to solve this, so please walk me through to the answer.

Thanks in advance!

x = my + b

a. for the x-intercept isn't y = 0?
so x = b

b. change it to the y-intercept - slope form
my = x - b
y = (1/m)x - b/m

so the slope is 1/m
I understand it now.
