A soccer ball is kicked from the ground and lands 2.2 seconds later. If the ball was kicked at an angle of 55 degrees above horizontal, what was the ball's total initial speed?

Time of flight = t
Initial speed = u
Angle with horizontal = θ
g = acceleration due to gravity

t = (2*u*sinθ)/g
=> u = (t*g)/(2*sin55)
= (2.2*9.8)/(2*0.819)
= 13.16 m/s
