What are the disadvantages of cutting down rainforests? I've already looked it up and got some info, so if anyone knows any additional info i could add to it, I'd appreciate it.
Well, here's what I got:
-Trees produce Oxygen and carbon dioxide
-farmers CAN use the land, but it becomes infertile, so the farmers just cut down more rainforests
-Loss of natural habitats
-Tribes living in rainforests for centuries are disturbed
-Destroying an ecosystem that make unique species extinct
-changed rain patters, because rainforests contribute in creating clouds. (could someone point out how is this bad? Thanks =P)
-Many scientists/specialtists say all of man's cures are hidden in the rainforest
Thanks!~
