Intimation means a "suggestion", usually done quietly. I don't believe I have ever heard an imtimation over a loudspeaker.

what if i said:

I would say Billy's actions instead of mood... it would make the meaning clearer.

"The intimation from Billy's <b>actions</b> made Susy think he was mad at her."
It's better than your last sentence, which is really a couple of run-ons!
