1/4 square inches = 5 ft <---- makes little sense
or
1/4 square inches = 5 square ft ??
is this a continuation of your previous "scale factor" question?
if so, the scale was 1 : 24√5
then
model : 46950 = 1 : 24√5
model = 874.86
I sure some author did not embarrass him/herself by having such a question in a textbook.
This question makes no sense,
e.g. is the model built from the same material as the house, does it have plumbing, does it have electrical wiring ??? etc.
