About the skateboarding 5 blocks west and 8 blocks north to get to my friend's house. With a block being equal to 1/8 of a mile in length. Wanting to know how far would I travel in a round trip. I was thinking 8 blocks equal 1 mile because 5,280 feet is a mile and 1/8 of 5,280 is 660 feet. 660 x 8 =5,280 feet which is a mile. So 1 5/8 x2 =3 2/8 mile round trip. Is my thikning right?
