                Lilliana is training for a marathon. She
runs the same distance every day for a week. On Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday, she runs 3 laps on a running trail and then runs 6 more miles.
On Tuesday and Sunday, she runs 5 laps on the trail and then runs 2 more
miles. On Saturday, she just runs laps. How many laps does Lilliana run on Saturday?
I got:
3x +6 = 5x + 2
-3x -3x
6= 2x + 2
-2= -2
4= 2x
2= x
but what I don't get is why Lilliana runs 6 laps on Saturday..
help explain this part and thank you.

    same every day?
3L+6=5L+2
2L=4
L=2 miles
so each day she does 12 miles, how many laps is that on Saturday?
