European medieval life was dominated by the Catholic Church (1). The Church defined and maintained social order (2). Catholic social programs cared for the poor, the sick, and the orphaned (3). Catholic monks provided literacy programs to peasants to spread the teachings of the scriptures (4).

I think 1,2 are true and 3,4 are false

Why do you think the Church did not care for the poor and the sick?

Is that what your text says?
Answered by Reed
1 and 2 are true. I think 3 may also be true, but double-check your text. It varied from place to place how the monks (and nuns) helped the poor, etc. 4 is definitely false.

I think its 1,2,3 are true and 4 is false

because of what Ms. Sue said

Yes, 3 is true, in general. If your text and Ms. Sue (and I) agree, then your answer that it was false is wrong. Now you're right: 1, 2, and 3 are true.
