2 3/8 + 1 7/8
Nearest whole number = 2 + 2 = 4
Nearest half = 2 1/2 + 2 = 4 1/2
Nearest whole number = 2 + 2 = 4
Nearest half = 2 1/2 + 2 = 4 1/2

Would this be right? 1-3/8 + 1-3/7
rounded nearest 1/2 number rounded nearest whole
1-1/2 1-3/8 1
1-1/2 1-3/7 1
Add 3 2
rounded nearest 1/2 number rounded nearest whole
1-1/2 1-3/8 1
1-1/2 1-3/7 1

Thank you Ms. Sue. Could you double check mine.
I will write the answer like you did for 1 3/8 + 1 3/7
Nearest whole number = 1 + 1 = 2
Nearest half = 1 1/2 + 1 1/2 = 3
Correct?
