Asked by Ed
Rui is a professional deep water free diver.
His altitude (in meters relative to sea level), xxx seconds after diving, is modeled by:
d(x)=1/2x^2 -10x
What is the lowest altitude Rui will reach?
I actually don't understand this problem if its asking for like the vertex or something if someone can please explain this and help me.

10 and 50 are both right depending on what you are solving for. -50 is his depth and 10 is the seconds it takes him to get there.
