The denominator of a fraction is 3 more than the numerator. If 5 is added to the numerator and 4 is subtracted from the denominator the value of the new fraction is 2. Find the original fraction?

(5 + n )/(n-1) = 2
5+n = 2 n - 2
n = 7

so
7/10
