You are creating waves in a rope by shaking your hand back & forth. W/out changing the distance your hand moves, you begin to shake it faster & faster. What happens to each of the following aspects of the wave?
Amplitude remains the same as the distance shaken remained the same
Frequency increases with the increased speed as more cycles are now occurring per second
Period decreases as it now takes fewer seconds to complete a cycle with the increased speed
Velocity increases along with the velocity of the shaking
Is that correct? Thanks a bunch! :)
