Please write a multi-paragraph (2-3 paragraphs) expository composition of approximately 300 words with properly integrated quotes and a clear thesis statement about the character of the narrator in the story “The Gold Mountain Coat.”

This is just a practice, I need to learn how to write this out and how should I write about the narrator.

This is a good explanation of how to write an expository essay. In your case, you don't need to do research; your source is the story. Who is the narrator? What is his/her point of view? How does he/she present the story told? Use quotations from the story to demonstrate the points you wish to make.
