If there are x general tickets, then the rest (1133-x) are reserve. So, add up the receipts:
2.00x + 6.50(1133-x) = 3836.50
2.00x + 6.50(1133-x) = 3836.50

To finish the equation you do..
2.00x + 6.50(1133-x) = 3836.50
2.00x+7364.50-6.50 = 38.50
2.00x= 38.50 -7358
x= -7319.5/2
x= -3659.75
But check my work.
2.00x + 6.50(1133-x) = 3836.50
2.00x+7364.50-6.50 = 38.50
2.00x= 38.50 -7358
x= -7319.5/2
x= -3659.75
But check my work.

Ganett, that negative answer should not have made sense to you.
form
2.00x + 6.50(1133-x) = 3836.50
2.00x+7364.50-6.50x = 3836.50
-4.5x = -3528
x = 784
1133-x = 349
x had to be a positive whole number, since it stands for the number of tickets
